ScrapYourStash: Christmas in July

As promised, I used my Ancient Paper with the crawling ants for this Chirstmas in July edition of Scrap Your Stash.

I hope you enjoyed Michelle Wild Woman West's entry into this month's Hop. Michelle always inspires me with her creations. Meeting Michelle was a highlight of convention for me. She is so thoughtful and sweet. I totally felt the love when she presented a signed copy of her Mom's book along with the sweetest note I've ever received!
The Cricut Artiste Collection, available August 1, is what pushed this little 6x6 project into pretty derned cute territory. Using two images from the "Merry Christmas Button" made it easy-peasy lemon squeezy to quickly create something with some "butt-ugly" paper.

Terry Morrow told me, "anyone who buys Artiste will be so far down the road to creating great projects with their Cricut. It is so straight-forward, even for the beginner."

The script sentiment was cut at 2.5", on slow speed. The poinsettias, cut from 3.5" to 2.5", inked, and scrunched a touch to break down the fibers. A tip from a teacher at convention was to pinch the tips and not score the petals helped to make these look great.

Please go carolling along to Shirley's Blog to see what sort of Christmas Cheer she is spreading!

  1. Love love love the new cartridge!!! This flower is rocking it!

  2. How funny! You call your CTMH stash "Ancient", I call mine "vintage". LOL

I am a former CTMH consultant from the 90's. I remember when we weren't allowed to shorten the name to CTMH. Check out my blog, to see more "ancient" stuff used. I still love my cloud stencil and use it often. Do they still make that? I am now following you!

  3. I love the flower - beautiful. I like your style.

Thanks for leaving some "love". You're the greatest!
